D Stands For Vienna, Austria · decaf only

Austria's first dedicated decaf roastery, roasting small batches in Vienna on an electric Stronghold. They buy both direct from producers and from decaffeination plants, which is an unusually candid thing to say out loud. Notable for carrying a genuine low-caf lot — a Los Nogales Typica — alongside the decafs, which almost no decaf-only house does. Their shipping policy page still references an October 2024 resumption date for paused EU destinations. Treat the country list as indicative and confirm at checkout.

The longest-running decaf-only specialist in the UK, roasting in West Sussex since 2014. Deliberately narrow: seven decafs plus the occasional guest, all year round — the opposite strategy to the rotating single-origin houses. Swiss Water is the only process named across their site.

The widest confirmed process spread of anyone surveyed — Swiss Water and Mountain Water both organic-certified, plus CO₂ and sugarcane. They are the only European seller I could confirm offering Mountain Water process at all. UK-only delivery makes them a reference point for comparing processes rather than a source for EU readers.

Les Révélations Paris, France · decaf only

The most flavour-ambitious of the European decaf-only operations: a Q Grader roasting on a Loring S35, with a range split between DÉCLIC blends and DÉCOLLAGE single origins from Colombia, Ethiopia, Kenya and Panama. Water process covers most of the range, with a handful of EA and at least one CO₂ lot. They state plainly which lots are not organic-certified and why, which is more honesty than the category norm. Seasonal pause — the site says roasting resumes 31 August 2026. Check availability before ordering.

Founded in Peckham by a former Monmouth roasting-team member who cut caffeine around the birth of his daughter. The range is structured as a ladder — full caf, half caf, low caf, decaf — which frames caffeine as a dial rather than a binary, and no other roaster in this directory does that. One of the very few UK decaf specialists to state EU shipping explicitly.

Decaf Before Death United Kingdom · curator

A sourcer rather than a roaster, and the closest thing the UK has to a decaf critic — the associated Substack runs decaf surveys and round-ups. They stock an actual named Laurina lot, which almost nobody else in Europe does. The subscription is retired: the site now says plainly they don't do subs anymore, so any directory listing one is out of date.

A multi-roaster subscription club, not a roaster, and not decaf-first despite how it is often described — the decaf plan is one standing product alongside their general specialty subscription. It is a real product with its own gift and prepaid variants, dispatching two 200g bags every four weeks from independent UK roasters. The material fact for an EU reader is the absence of any stated EU shipping.

BLACKBIRD Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany · has decaf

A general Stuttgart-area specialty roaster since 2014 with a named decaf collection — not a decaf house, but the collection reads as a deliberate editorial statement rather than a token SKU. Their own line is that decaffeinated doesn't mean less coffee, it means more care. Having CO₂, Swiss Water and sugarcane EA side by side across three lots makes them the best single place in Germany to taste the processes against each other. The roastery is closed 4–26 August, though online orders are still accepted.

The Coffeevine Amsterdam, Netherlands · curator

A curated multi-roaster box out of Amsterdam, shipping to 60+ countries, whose monthly selection has a standing decaf slot alongside the European and global roasters. They have used that slot to platform specialists — Calm, D Stands For and Les Révélations have all been featured — which makes them a discovery route more than a supply route. Process varies by featured roaster rather than being a house choice. At time of checking both the decaf subscription and the individual decaf bag were sold out. The decaf line appears to run in cycles rather than continuously.
