What has changed
Shops close for August, pause shipping when packaging rules change, and quietly run out of decaf. When something moves, it goes here — along with corrections when I have got something wrong.
The Stuttgart-area roastery is closed for the summer, though online orders are still being accepted and will ship on reopening. Worth knowing if you were planning to use them for a side-by-side process tasting.

Packaging regulation — extended producer responsibility — has taken an EU decaf-only roaster partly off the map for EU customers. Check their current country list before ordering rather than assuming EU-wide delivery.

Nine roasters and curators, four of them decaf-only. Targeted searching in six languages found no decaf-only roaster in Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Ireland, Poland or the Nordics — that absence is a finding, not a gap in the research.

Back from the summer break at the end of the month. One of only two decaf-only roasters that reliably ships across the EU, so the pause matters more here than it would for a general roaster.

The widely repeated "99.9% caffeine free" claim for Mountain Water Process comes from roasters and importers, not from the plant. Descamex's own site says decaffeination exceeding 97%. The number appears to have migrated across from Swiss Water's separate guarantee about a different process.
